Fundraiser performs heroic act to save a life

Sarah Thomas, a face-to-face fundraiser contracted to Northampton marketing company Titanium Marketing, heroically saved a donor’s life while fundraising for British Red Cross by giving the donor CPR while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Fortunately, Sarah was fully trained in first aid and knew what do.
Sarah, a rookie brand ambassador, said that she had come across people who had a negative attitude towards face-to-face fundraising and she hoped her experience would help change people’s mind-set.
She wants to show that a brand ambassador’s role is equally important as any other.

Independent contractors representing Appco UK clients discover the parallels between motor racing and business.

A group of highly successful self-employed brand ambassadors representing Appco UK clients spent a day at McLaren’s headquarters to experience first-hand lessons from motor racing on the concepts that drive their success including teamwork, dedication, and practice.

The efforts ultimately came down to the driver going out onto the track and using his knowledge of the car and experience, to win championships.

Highflyer brand ambassador Kareem Wilson, said that he enjoyed “learning about and understanding the history of McLaren,” as it helped him take the practices that are embedded in McLaren and apply them to his daily role.

UNICEF praises fundraisers in Appco UK network

Unicef UK thanked fundraisers in Appco’s UK network for their ongoing fundraising efforts.

During the visit to the Philippines, Senior Direct Marketing Officer of Unicef UK Charlie Lewis spoke about the diificulties faced by families due to Typhoon Haiyan in 2013.

He said, “Thanks to work like yours, many of the families here have been able to recover and get their lives back together. It wouldn’t be possible without your incredible work, so please keep it up.”

Appco Spain staff support Oxfam Intermón

Headquarters staff from Appco Group España walked 100km to support charity client, Oxfam Intermón.

The walk was part of Oxfam’s annual Trailwalkers event, which raises money for communities with little or no access to clean water sources.

Roser Simona, Head of Communications for Appco España and recovering walker said: “Working with the charity every day, we are well aware that the more we can do to help people who are suffering the better.”
